10 things to get excited about in Bristol

You probably don't need too much of an introduction to how great everyone thinks Bristol is. There are plenty of articles out there designed to give its (and its inhabitants) ego a right old rub, but it is pretty great, especially in the summertime.

With summer teasing us already and great free events like the Bristol Harbourside Festival and Bristol International Balloon Fiesta just round the corner we thought we would put together a list of some things that we are excited to be happening over the remainder of 2016 here in Bristol. We wouldn't be surprised if you have heard of some of them, but hopefully we have included some things that you were totally unaware of!

Artist Katie Paterson has collaborated with architects Zeller & Moye to create a meditative modernist grotto made up of 10,000 unique tree species to relay the planet's history and evolution. It's a beautiful installation and we highly recommend you check it out, it really is quite relaxing inside!

Bristol is the cycling capital of Europe. We are keen cyclists at Yadda and it is definitely the quickest (and cheapest) way to get around our city!

Last year the Bristol Grand Prix made a return after a 30 year absence. The crowd funded project was a huge success last year attracting talent not only from across the city but all over the UK. The course is a 1.1km figure of 8, made possible by the Frog Lane bridge at the bottom of Park Street.

If you're into bikes or fancy some high speed excitement in the city centre, this is a must attend event!
